It's that time of year again. The time where we have an excuse to eat the sinfully-good dish of Spaghetti (with no regrets). Happy National Spaghetti Day People! In honor of this sacred holiday, Cocktails Catering is giving you four local places you should be filling your bellies at.
Now you might be thinking, is this restaurant really worth the drive for some spaghetti? The answer is yes. I can assure you that Garlic’s Italian cuisine is well worth the hike to New Smyrna Beach. Garlic offers oversized portions so not only do you get your money’s worth, but you also leave with a happy-full-belly. Did I mention Garlic always starts you off with complimentary roasted garlic, olive oil and bread? Beware, this is highly addicting. Now, depending on how brave or hungry you’re feeling you can always order the 16 oz filet mignon meatball (yes I said it, 16 oz filet mignon meatball), which pairs greatly with some delicious spaghetti. #NationalSpaghettiDay This dynamic duo is great to share with a friend (or two or three). Be sure to take a selfie with this insane dish because if you didn't snap it, did it really even happen? Bottom line, I would highly recommend Garlic to anyone who is looking for some good spaghetti and a great environment (out door seating with string lights everywhere).
I’ll never forget my first experience at Terra Mia. I was out with my family and my sister was in the mood for “true authentic Italian food” (remember these words) . Now, the funny part was that when we got to the restaurant and she saw that pizza was nowhere to be found on the menu, she was not a happy camper. No PIZZA? How dare they, right? In this case, wrong. While my dad was too busy diffusing the ticking time bomb (my sister), my mom and I were brave enough to order and wow were we glad we did. I’ll always remember my first bite into their spaghetti and chicken parmesan. I could not believe we hadn’t discovered this restaurant sooner. Moral of the story, if you’re looking for the real deal Italian food then you’re in for a treat. Terra Mia has built it's reputation on experience, customer service and authentic Italian cuisine. This Italian hidden gem can be found right in the heart of Lake Mary (not to be confused with the Longwood location as they have different owners).

This place has it all; a beautiful ambiance, addicting hand crafted cocktails and freshly made-to-order cuisine. When I initially thought of local restaurants that serve spaghetti in Honor of National Spaghetti Day, it should come to no surprise that Prato was the first one to come to mind. One of Prato’s most popular dishes is their Mustard Spaghettini Cacio E Pepe. Although, I've personally never tried this dish, Yelp reviewers have often referred to this meal as close as to Italian Cuisine you’ll find. I for one know, I’ll be ordering it next time and you better believe I'll be adding an order of their renowned meatballs (to die for).
You can find this Italian restaurant in the quaint town of Mount Dora. If you’ve never visited the area I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming experience. Mount Dora is known for being a historic district and it should come to no surprise that it's filled with picturesque boutiques and restaurants. Enough about how amazing Mount Dora is and more about National Spaghetti Day. Olive Branch won’t disappoint with their hearty dishes and delightful atmosphere. This place has a Mediterranean-Italian vibe to it, which comes with a pretty unique and diverse menu.
